About Us

Born to the untameable waters of the Black Sea and raised to become an aesthetic junkie in Istanbul, Cagla Oktar defines herself as a dedicated soul in search of a fresh artistic language.

Positioning herself beyond Turkey, her cradle, or Italy, which laid the academic grounds of her formation as an artist, Oktar draws inspiration from the untold, the unsung, and the uncaptured. Her carefully knitted collections carry traces of ancient civilisations rooted in Anatolia, while Italy’s iconic elegance echoes in her approach to art and design at large.

Precious stones that constitute the backbone of Simi Seng reclaim new shapes and meanings in Oktar’s timeless and classically graceful designs. Bold pieces juxtapose one’s discreet femininity while her classically elegant lines flirtatiously clash with the contemporary modern.
With each sculptured item meticulously perfected to provoke, Oktar wishes to tap into our core strengths and compliment self-confidence of the one who wears it. β€œIt is not simply jewellery that I desire to create and be appreciated,” she says. β€œMy hand-crafted pieces should be perceived as pieces of art, reflecting one’s strength and elegance which can only come from within, or else, I fail.”
